Praise for "The Blackest Heart":
"This is the REDUX version released by Northern Frights Publishing. One part horror, one part science fiction, one part revenge story, and one part Western, The Blackest Heart comes at you with both guns blazing from page one…" Bram Stoker Award winner Lisa Morton, author of The Castle of Los Angeles
"Vince Churchill has created a violent and epic space opera with truly memorable villains and a hero you cheer (and cringe) for at every turn" - David Wellington, author of 13 Bullets DEATH
As far as Horror goes, this was amazing. I connected with the characters and was shocked when certain something-somethings and so-on and so-on's were going on.
Nothing seems to snag my attention quite like good vs. evil and "The Blackest Heart" is loaded.
Churchill unveils a colorful story with vibrant characters, violence, vendetta and sex. This futuristic western didn't come close to any of my previous predictions, catching me completely off guard.
Right off the bat, Chapter One had me sucked in. A terrible incident involving Outpost 13 and infamous space pirates bring together a classic revenge story. One that I couldn't help rooting for from the beginning.
The bad guys are so awful I couldn't wait to see their fate. It was similar to George R.R. Martin in the build up. I hated the bad guys yet they were still there. Grrrrr. Now to see what happens…
