There is a pretty cool world created in New Beijing and cyborgs aren't a new concept. They're lowly citizens, but they exist. They're imperfect, just like humans. The setting wasn't as explosive as I'd hoped but also provided me with plenty to chew on as it was highly character driven.
Anyway, back to the good stuff and out of my nerdy analyzation of cyborgs.
The book was a great concept for following some pretty big glass slippers. The characters were really well developed in their personalities. Cinder, is an endearing character, who's strong-willed with few complaints regarding her unfair life. She knows this is how things are and she doesn’t try to change them, though she doesn’t let it beat her down either. When a plague and the visit from an intense alien race is invited in, the story takes a leap from Cinderella and into one all its own.
